My First Time

Hello Everyone!

Although some may click this in the hope of discovering some very juicy sex gossip, that's not actually what this is. My chummy Louise made this video tag about all her "Firsts" of things. (i.e. First crush, First Kiss etc) and I wanted to jump on the bandwagon and fill you in on my many embarrassing stories surrounding boys from my childhood and disasters on the motorway!

Although I know a lot of you like to watch videos about beauty, but I also know that some of you prefer the more "lifey/vloggy" type of videos, so grab yourself a cuppa (or a cool beverage if you prefer), a few cheeky biscuits and enjoy!

My "Go To" Every Day Hairstyles.

I get asked an awful lot how I do many of the hairstyles I wear on an every day basis. I don't actually spend a lot of time on my hair if i'm honest with you, the thing that really takes the longest is washing and blowdrying, after that I lose any patience I may once have had to spend lot's of time on the styling.

I recently filmed this "How To" video on my YouTube channel, and wanted to post it here for those of you who many not have seen it or are interested in finding out more about how I achieve these different styles.

Let me know if you found this helpful and tweet me pictures of your attempts!

Response To Your Response

When I filmed my video on "Dealing with Panic Attacks & Anxiety", I didn't think for one minute that I would have had such an overwhelming response from so many of you. It took quite a lot of courage for me to sit down and speak out loud about my experiences and difficult aspects of my life on camera. I know that all it involved was me sitting in my bedroom and talking to a piece of photographic equipment but I knew that there would be an awful lot of you watching, so at the time, the pressure was on a heap more than if I were to be showing you the products I'd enjoyed using that month. The video also made it onto YouTube's homepage, which made the experience all the more nail-biting. Not only were my loyal viewers and subscribers hearing about my struggles with panic attacks, but now anyone that landed on the youtube homepage was also watching. Although scary, it meant that it was helping a lot more people, and this made it all the more worthwhile. I wasn't really too sure what the feedback from the video would be, I only wanted it to be seen, and for it to have helped at least one person. After attempting to try and read through all (5,300 currently) comments, hundreds of tweets and a brimming email inbox, it became apparent that I had in fact helped an awful lot of people. I can't even express how happy this makes me. I wish I could sit and reply to each and every one of you, but I think it would take me a lifetime, so instead I just want to say thank you for all your kind words of support and love. I have shed many a tear hearing about how some of you have changed your lives around because of my gentle push. From 12 year old girls to 40 something men, the spectrum is so wide and so many of you have been affected by my rambly video. Whether it has helped you to realise what you are experiencing is panic and anxiety, helped you to help someone close to you, given you the reassurance you aren't alone or given you a virtual cuddle, I am so pleased that it has affected you positively in some way. If you are reading this and you are one of those people, please remember to stay strong, stay happy and keep positive. I wish you all the luck in the world with whatever it is you are battling, you can do it, and you aren't alone.

Beauty Vloggers On A Roof

Yesterday, I ventured into London to meet Louise for a YouTube party/gathering on the roof of the offices. It was a hoot! Being a somewhat anxious person, as you know "venturing into London" isn't the easiest of tasks for me, but I was as cool as a cucumber which as sad as it may be, was a really refreshing thing for me. At the party, we met Fleur (It was her Birthday), Patricia, Shirley, Sammi and Lex (who I didn't get a photo of dammit) but be sure to click all the names to go to their youtube accounts and subscribe if you haven't already. They are all such lovely girls, and it was so nice being able to spend time with them as living in different areas of the UK, that doesn't happen all too often.  As you can see, Louise being ever so creative, came up with the game "How many beauty vloggers can you get on one deck chair". We managed all of us for a VERY short time, before we all collapsed sideways! Before hopping over to the party, we decided to have a little look through Oxford Street Topshop, where we were greeted by two viewers! HELLO TO YOU BOTH! Thank you for coming to say hello :) and also a hello to the girls who we sat with on the train on the way home and shared many a fantastic quiz with. My favourite being the "How do you smell to Edward Cullen" quiz. Yes, that does exist.

I have actually found it extremely satisfying to use something up completely, as I have so many half full products cluttering up my bedroom and bathroom.  I have also tried to only buy products I know I don't already have something very similar of that I need to use up (i.e. I haven't bought any moisturisers or shower gels as I already have so many I need to get through). So it's sort of like a shopping ban on items that although I may see on my shopping trip and want to try as it looks interesting, I won't buy as I know I already have too many similar items at home that I NEED to use up first. So far it's working!

Have you been collecting empties for reviews? Or just tried to stop yourself buying too many of one thing?

Foundation Review Video

I recently did a video reviewing 5 High Street/Drugstore foundations, and although most of you may have already watched the video, I thought I'd just post it here in case you missed it! I'm certainly no expert when it comes to describing foundations, but I did my best and I hope this may help some of you. I opted for a few foundations I'd heard great reviews about, and a few which I'd never seen before.

I can also do an in-depth review of my favourites of the bunch here on my blog if you want me to do that?  Let me know!

Birthday Fun & Frolics

So most of you will probably know by now, that not too long ago, my good chum Louise turned 25 again, and I went up to stay with her, to launch our new shop, and to celebrate her day of birth. We took a  little road trip to Fleur's house in the evening, for pre-drinks and a jolly good hoo-hah, and then went out for a few tipples-on-the-town. (I wasn't drinking, just in case you were worried I "road tripped" under the influence haha). Whilst at Fleurs, I took some photo's, which I loved so much I just had to share them with you all. How GORGEOUS do they both look?

I also revealed Louise's secret birthday video to her, which if you've not seen yet, you can view HERE. You can watch Louise's vlog of the few days I spent there HERE, and Fleurs vlog of evening antics HERE. It will almost feel as if you are there celebrating with us :) Also keep your eyes peeled on my YouTube channel for my vlog too. I think I may have overused the word "vlog" in this blog post! VLOG VLOG VLOG.

Someday Summary - Saturday

I'm sorry i've not updated in a while. I've been working like a mad woman & had various other things going on with my life. Some not so enjoyable & others slightly more positive. I'm super pleased that the sun has decided to rear it's little head today, sprinkles a bit of happiness about the place doesn't it...unless of course you are Edward Cullen, in which case I feel sorry for you.

I slept on my neck funny last night. I'm not sure how I do this, but this is the second time in about 10 days in exactly the same place. It's SO painful. I have a constant slant to the right. I look like a weirdo. If i try and keep my head straight, it just hurts. I need someone to give me a damn good neck massage. My sleep pattern has been well and truely messed up due to the fact i've had a crappy few weeks, and my mattress is so hard and lumpy that it was starting to give me bruises on my hips. Forking out for a new mattress certainly wasn't on the agenda. If I had the spare cash lying around for such luxuries, I definitely would have, but alas, I do not. My Gpa (thats grandad) came over & flipped my mattress for me & then my lovely Nan bought me a mattress topper. They obviously felt sorry for this little princess and the pea, although in this case, no princess and no pea just masses of springs and various other metal contraptions & an average girl. So, i've finally started getting a decent nights sleep. I say this, but i was awake from 10pm-4am last night after napping at 8pm & awoke with a wonky head. Just great. Can anyone suggest any pillows or anything which might help? I've heard that memory foam ones are good.

I've started with YouTube again. I know it's not to everyone's taste, and that some of you may think "why is she bothering?", but i recieved so many emails and messages from people asking me to come back, and i feel like sometimes it's easier for me to show you things via video. Maybe even this way I can do a few hair tutorials as the thought of capturing any form of "tutorial" through photographs was quite the chore & would have been extremely tedious. I still absolutely despise the way I sound, the things I say & the stupid hand gestures and faces I make, but obviously I cant help that. haha. I have also discovered that I say "Like" and "Literally" far too much...It's literally like so annoying. ;)
I lost a lot of confidence over the last year, and it's only really now that I can sit down in front of a camera & feel brave enough to upload it for you anyone/everyone to see. I've decided not to let any negativity affect me, and with anything on the internet, there will be some. Go and subscribe if you want to, obviously you dont have to but it would be nice if you did. Might be nice for some of you to see me in 3d...moving and that. Do let me know what you want me to do videos on. I have a feeling this time i'll stick around.

I'll leave you with a few photographs that I have saved as little reminders which have made me feel a lot better about myself recently. Bit psychological, and unlike me, but I thought i'd share them with you as they might have the same effect on some of you, which would in turn, make me happy.
