Benefit Erase Paste

I purchased this under eye concealer when i spotted it in a House Of Fraser sale about 7 months ago for around £14. I am ALWAYS on the hunt for an under eye concealer which will make me feel better about the dark circles under my eyes (bain of my life). I used it every single day on the inner corners of my eyes and just under my eye (not the whole area) I mostly used it on top of my other favourite under eye concealer (GOSH Touch Up Concealer No. 2) so i wasn't using it generously, just sparingly & in very small amounts.
When i finally ran out of it, i didn't start to panic, but i did notice in photos that no other under eye concealer made me look so awake & refreshed.
When i noticed, i ran to Boots and spent the whole £18.50 on a new jar...i wouldn't ever be able to justify spending so much on any other concealer let me tell you. I do still think it's massively overpriced, but i think Benefit are clever, because they know that people like me become addicted to it's magical light reflecting and dark covering properties and buy it anyway.

The concealer itself comes with a teeny tiny little plastic spatula which can be used to scoop the right amount out of the little jar, although, i only think this is beneficial if you have artificial nails as the jar is quite small and so scooping with long nails becomes quite the task.
I personally just use my finger.
The consistency of the concealer is what makes it so amazing. It's very thick, but very creamy and easy to blend, thus making it easy to get the desired thickness or even when mixed with another concealer. It also means that you only need the tiniest amount..and i mean tiny.
Obviously with creamy concealers there is always the probability of it creasing or smudging off but i find this stays put for such a long time, and can be set with a light finishing powder if you wanted or had oilier skin.

I think i will be buying this concealer until Benefit decide to stop making it, or if the brand ever comes to an end. I love everything about it (besides possibly the over exessive price tag for the amount you get)

Inglot.

In my previous blog post i mentioned a little shopping spree in Westfield with Nicola & Caroline.

I did buy a few things but one place in particular had me very excited.

Inglot.

I had heard this brand name before, floating about in the beauty community but had never given it much thought as i don't have a shop ANYWHERE near me. So when the oppertunity came to check out the products of course i was going to.
I went in with a completely open mind, had nothing in particular that i wanted to seek out, but ended up purchasing a 5 pan custom palette and a lipstick.



Nicola & I both wanted a 5 pan custom palette, and so we set about choosing colours...funnily enough, we both just ended up lusting over the same ones. (we just have fabulous taste) so we both came away with identical palettes. I was amazed by the cheap price tag that came with it too, £15 for any 5 colours, in a sleek black palette which includes a mirror and space for a little eyeshadow brush if you so desired.

Inglot, i have to say, is SUCH good quality. The shadows are amazingly pigmented and so creamy and easy to blend, they rival Mac, but obviously has the upper hand with it's cheaper pricing. There is also such a massive range of colours and you even get the option of having eyeshadows and blushers in square form..or circular. They spoil us don't they? They also have an extensive range of lipsticks (i had a hard time choosing which one to take home with me) and they are just as pigmented as Mac's.

The one thing that i don't like about Inglot though, is their ridiculous way of naming the products. It's all just numbers and letters. At least make them feel a bit more special with their own cute names?



The lipstick i purchased was more of a Mac "Slimshine". They did have proper lipsticks, but Caroline spotted these and they looked a lot more moisturising yet still highly pigmented.
I bought this beautiful coral colour,
I have been wearing this pretty much non stop since i've had it. It's perfect. Moisturising, pigmented and it looks and stays well on the lips. This was £9 & well worth it. I want to go back for more.

The Body Shop Blogger Event June 2010

Evenin' Ladies, Hope you are all well?

One of the many benefits of being a "beauty blogger" means getting a sneaky peek into the new collections that some brands have to offer. I was lucky enough to be invited to see the new Body Shop editions last week.
On arriving in London I was greeted by the gorgeous Nicola & Caroline & we made our way over to the event.
As usual, the girls had all made a huge effort to make everything look pretty & fab. Cakes piled up, nibbles, champagne & all the products laid out for inspection.



They started the event off by talking about the new Shampoo's, Conditioners & Hair Treatments which will a lot more easy going on the eco system and all the fishes in the sea. I haven't ever really thought about all the chemicals in my shampoo once they have been washed down my plughole, and i think it's great that the Body Shop have thought about that. There will be different categories for different types of hair and i believe they will even be slightly cheaper. I'm looking forward to trying these out.

We were then introduced to the new "Baked to Last" collection, which feautures a bagful of baked, mineralized products. Personally, i love mineralized makeup. I think it's slightly more versatile. You can get some seriously amazing effects and essentially a whole range of different colours in one compact. Chase Ashton demonstrated two different looks using the products on some seriously gorgeous models. The first was a neutral summer time look, where he just used the bronzer lightly on the cheekbones,very subtle golds on the eyelids & a peach lipbalm. The second look was slightly more dramatic on the eyes and a little bit darker on the lips.

We were then shown a few products from the Vitamin C collection. I wasn't personally expecting a lot from this range as I have previously tried the eye cream and was left pretty dissapointed (no eye cream has ever surprised me though) and i actually got quite excited about the new products in the range. There's a few things i have tried already and love but i will be doing a seperate review on those.

I had an amazing day! So many amazing new products which i can't wait to start using & it was lovely to see all the girls.
After the event, Nicola, Caroline and I, squeezed ourselves onto the tube (So hot and disgusting it doesnt even bare thinking about...) and went to Westfield for a spot of shopping (little haul on that later)
