More Bootsale Bargains and Outfit of the Day

Good evening lovelies.

On Sunday, i was up bright and early with my mummy and we drove off to the bootsale. As some of you will be aware...Bootsales are mostly just aload of crap. But you can pick up some absolute bargains aswell, hence why i brave an early morning on the weekend.
Burts Bee's Radiance Day & Eye Cream

£1.50 for the two
This stuff is practically brand new, and i LOVE Burts Bee's and so I'm excited to try these out. I wore the cream last night and it really hydrated my skin. I also used it this morning and my skin actually did look radiant and my makeup lasted well. Thumbs up for this, SO worth the whole £1.50! They also retails for £18.95 each...so that's a damn good bargain.

Chanel Blush in Reflex

50p
This blush is super pretty and really pigmented, theres no brush..but who uses those anyway?

Lancome Eyeshadow Duo in Night & Day

50p
This looks as though it was swiped a few times then left. It still had the plastic cover in it! The colours are gorgey, and i don't usually go for green but this is a really neutral subtle shade and i can't wait to use them. Complete bargain.

Lancome Juicy Tube

50p

I haven't ever tried a lancome juicy tube, and when there was one for 50p i thought, hey why not give one a go. And just in case you thought i was a dirty skank..yes i do sanitise lip products, but i would never buy one that looked mega used and mank...because it most probably will be mank :)

2 x Mac Palettes

5Op Each

The Palettes were realised in 2006 in the "Formal Black Collection". I've seen these before and thought they were really cute. They came in your standard, cool, warm, smokey, metallic..etc format. The two i managed to find are Warm and Smokey. My usual favourites (always the neutrals..man i'm boring...) It seems that the girl selling them went gaga over highlight colours but hated everything else? Because most are untouched..and i can't belive they even both have the little brushes.

Warm Eyes

  • White Tie (Pretty much not there)
  • Valet
  • Woodwinked
  • Limo
  • Sable Wrap
  • Embark

Limo is absoloutley amazing..and i'm pretty sure this isn't a permanent colour?

Smokey Eyes

  • Malt
  • Vex (Again..she went a little crazy with the highlight don't you think?)
  • Satin Taupe
  • Club
  • Gentle Fume
  • Black Tied

All in all, it was a very successful shopping trip, i think i might stop spending in the shops and just give myself a £5 budget at a bootsale, it's just as satisfying if not more in my opinion, especially with the amount you can buy. I also picked up Victoria Beckhams hardback book "that extra half an inch" for 50p. I remembered that it was one of Sabrina's favourite books and for 50p, it would have been silly to have left it, and i'm glad i didn't because it SO good. I love a bit of Posh spice, she's so pretty.

Right, moving on to my Outfit of today, I picked up the blazer in the New Look sale for £3. Seriously, such a bargain..and i love it. The dress/top is also New Look but sadly not in the sale and was around £14-£16. Necklace is Urban Outfitters £18.

Eyelash Extensions

My Mum is the only person i know who has literally tried EVERY SINGLE mascara ever. She has short stubby eyelashes and she hates it. She doesn't have the patience for fake lashes everyday, and has never found anything that promises a "false lash" effect to deliver such results.
So, after years of wasted money on mascara's that do nothing for her lashes she decided to get Lash extensions.

This is my lovely Muv...
And these are her lashes...

[Short, Stubby and Sparce..sorry mummy, I know the picture's not great, but i cropped it from the photo above]

And After...

Personally, I think they look UH-MAY-ZING. She has no mascara on her bottom lashes so you might say it looks slightly top heavy, but i think with a tiny bit of liner and mascara on the bottom they will look awesome.

I like that they look natural, unlike some false lashes. They last from between 5-6 weeks, and you can get them "re-balanced" like you would with false nails.

She is super happy with them and can't stop fluttering them in the mirror. (Bless)

Has anybody else tried these? Or is anybody curious to try them? I'm sure my mummy would tell you that they are worth it, especially if you're like her and got landed with cruddy eyelashes and have splashed out on so many mascaras it makes you sick.

My Life in 8 Photos.

I had the idea to come up with a tag that helps us all get to know eachother a little better through the amazingness of photographs.

I don't know about you but i'm one of those people who has a photo for every memory and every event, and i'm sure i have a fair few photographs to sum up who i am as a person.

So, it's simple...Post 8 photos you feel are relevant in portraying who you are as a person or just photos from a memory or an event...anything! You can even be completely random and click anywhere in your photos and upload the ones u happen to click. It will be really interesting to see what photos people post & will also be lots of fun.

Join in with the tag everyone. :)

FOTD

Good afternoon ladies.
Here is my face today...
I decided to jump the bandwagon and checked out the prestige "skin loving minerals" yesturday.
There were three to choose from and i picked up "Glam Tan" and "Pure shimmer".

I haven't done a post on these as alot of people have already reviewed them and i'm worried people will be sick to death. Although..if you DO want me to do swatches etc let me know.
I am wearing both on my face today so hopefully the pictures will do them justice, as they are awesome.
I also picked up the body shop's "yes yes yes lip butter" as i've also heard some fantastic reviews. I had seen it a while back but wasn't too sure if i wanted to spend £5 on a lip balm...but after seeing the reviews i'd be stupid not to, and i'm glad i did. They even had an offer on where i could choose samples of things i liked, a free makeover and other little samples if i bought it...so again...would be silly not to.

Spending the pennnies...

Sorry this is a tad late as i actually bought these last thursday.
:O
First i popped into Mac, I was completely unaware the SugarSweet collection had launched that day and was pleasantly surprised it was there.
Here's what I spent my pennies on...

Perfect Topping MSF

I really like this MSF. I am always drawn towards more pinky colours (Hence why i picked up this one rather than Refined (which by the way i have orderd as i regret not picking it up in the shop..dum dum dummm...)) The Gold and purple veining in this is gorrrgeous, and looks great as a highlight. I am pale-ish...I'm an Nw20 in the winter so i think i can pull off both MSF'S quite well but i would say that this one is foolproof.

Lollipop Loving LippyThis Lipstick is a coraly/pink with green reflex in it (Can't actually see this in the photo..bum). I bought this as i thought it was a similar colour to Neo Sci fi's Pleasureseeker and i love that colour. I was also attracted/interested by the Green reflex. This look really nice on, and it's subtle..don't worry your lips don't look green when you turn certain angles. I know alot of people were dissapointed by this which may have been because so many people hyped about it, they may have had higher expectations...me nono. But what i do know..is i love it :DThen i popped into superdrug and couldn't resist the 3 Dazzle Dusts for £9.9(5 or 9...don't shoot me for missing a few pence)

The top shade is 03 - pink/gold - This is So pretty, I wouldn't really say it's gold, I think it's pink with a coral undertone and peachy reflex.

Middle Shade is 51 - Mushroom - I looove this one. I can't believe i never spotted this before. It's the colour of Moth wing dust but obviously much prettier. Perfect for a neutral eye.

Bottom shade is a fine glitter dust in 23 - This is a black with very fine purple reflex. This would look amazing on a night out ontop of a smokey eye. The camera doesn't quite do it justice as it really is pretty.

Nice little haul for you there.

One other thing...which is completely non-related...but...why do boys give up making you feel special after a certain amount of time? Do they need recharging or something? It frustrates me SO much.

I thought guys were supposed to make girls feel like princess's everyday?

:(

Reviews On Items Recently Purchased...

Phewphh what a long day. I do hate working on saturdays, it means my weekend is cut short.
Blog time...
I'm affraid there's negative feedback on a few products i've got recently...which makes me sad...and kindof angry.

FIRSTLY...

Chanel Pro Lumiere

So i was in House of Fraser...and i thought, right...liquid foundations...where the fook do i start? Then i remembered that there had been an awful lot of amazing raves and reviews on Chanel Pro/Matt Lumiere. So i strolled on over to the Chanel Counter..and there was nobody there..no MA..nobody. So i sortof tested a few of the foundations hoping somebody would realise i needed assistance..but no. So at that point i though "MEH, i'm going to walk away" when a blonde lady with an orange face appeared (She had been over at another counter chatting) and she said "Are you okay?" and i said "Um..Id quite like a new foundation" so she sat me down in a hurry and said "Okay well, this looks like it could be your colour" and she smeared it on my jawline. It was orange. I said this...and she said "OH um..oh yes so it is" so she brought back a slightly lighter one...and said "Oh yes, this is deffo your colour" So i purchased it...got it home and put it on only to find it was WAY too dark for my skin. Was this woman on crack or just blind? I did alot of blending and bronzing on the neck as i wanted to see if it was a good foundation.
Sadly, i did not get on with this at all. It made my skin dry and look incredibly flakey...and by about 3 o clock i looked in the mirror and i had weird patches, and all my blemishes were orange and standing out? I was going to the cinema with my boyfriend and i actually "lick-damped" a tissue and wiped it all off as it looked SO bad, i would rather have exposed my natural skin than keep that on, and that is saying something...i also would NEVER lick my foundation off? WTF lol

Oh Chanel...how i wanted to love you but ohhh you are going straight back. Maybe it was because the shade wasn't right? But that wouldnt mean it would make my dry patches any less visible? Oh well. I'm glad it works amazingly for most people but my skin refused to co-operate.
And for £28.30 I don't think it's worth it.

LUSH's Chox Away Soap

Never have i felt so sick from using soap...Seriously guys...I had to get out of the bath because i was almost gagging. (nice image for you there ;)) Now usually, I love Lush products...and what makes it even more stupid is that i smelt it before buying it and though "Oh that smells nice". Chocolate scent? What's not to love? I washed with it...and the longer it stayed next to me in the bath the more sickly, and disgusting it became. It's a smell i never want up my nose again. I even had to ask my boyfriend to remove it from the bathroom before i went back in. I sound like im pregnant and im going through some weird nausea stage. haha. Some of you may like it and think "WTF is this girl on about? Its soap that smells like chocolate? YUM" but for some reason..i absolutely hate it & I am going to hide it until i can stomach the smell enough to give it to someone or sell it on ebay. :D

LUSH's The Soft Touch Body Butter

I loove this body butter. It seriously does leave your skin silky smooth. I think Body butters are amazing full stop. Buffy is one of my absolute Favourite Lush products. Although it makes me sad how quickly it dissolves :( And i know that some people find it a little too invigorating , so this would be the perfect substitute. No harsh grains but leaves the same smooth skin. The smell is nice too! I would highly reccommend this and will be using it alorra lot. I would also like to point out that it certainly is not this colour. It's more a salmon pink. :)

I'm also seriously loving my NARS purchases. Nothing bad to say about those. The quality is amazing. I have a feeling Laguna is going to be a staple bronzer from now on & I absolutely LOVE Ondine eyeshadow. It's fab for those of you who don't go crazy with colour and like to keep eye colour neutral like me. It's a colour i haven't really seen before and i would reccomend all of you who like similar colours to go check this one out. (Check my "Birthday Treats" post for photo's)

So there we go, the main things I'm loving and hating this week.

Anybody else had any similar results with any of the products i mentioned. Am i only one who doesn't get along with Chanel foundation? haha
